Post up your assembled rig when you can.

If you can center the reticle on the target and level it; then, a plumb panning base will allow you to swivel it to intersect with the POI. Now the correction can be read directly. It's convenient to simply pan from POI to POI after each shot.

      Cheers,

I picked up a 3 axis manfrotto screw-knob head like that on ebay for $25 because one of the axis was broken.
I took it apart and reassembled it into the 2 axis configuration without needing any new parts and it works great.
I have my US Optics spotter on it.

          Here are the eyepieces

          9mm and 18 mm

So that makes 30x and 61x

Or 1500 mm and 3050 mm

            And here is the bino

APM 100mm ED-Apo with 45 degree angle for the eyepieces

My friend Markus in Germany (owner of APM) shipped me one to test it out

And that's what we are gonna do for sure !

            Now talk about a huge bino . . .

About 15 lbs without the eyepieces

Looks like you won't need a plumb panning base.

Those are very nice. I like the open sights built into the handle. Binos really pickup trace and help get you close. But, they need a reticle for precision corrections. Gong units are universal though.

              Cheers,

                  Unless a nice Hensoldt 45 / 60 or STR-80 pops up

Any place where you can rent them ?
