    S&B PMII

Hi everybody! Long time lurker and decided to join.

I've been looking at the Schmidt & Bender PMII models and would like some feedback on them from actual users. It'll be mounted on my new AI 338LM. Any input is greatly appreciated. Which reticle, magnification, etc... Max distance I have to work with is 1800m.

I like the H2CMR and the ones with the counterclockwise UP clicks. The 5-25 magnification is the most popular, but I would go with the newer, higher magnification.

That's exactly what I would use if the distance is limited to 1800m. I like the regular old PF4 reticle for long distance shooting. The main limitation for the Schmidts is a limit of 26 mil, but that's fine for 1800m. No need for a fancy $4000+ one, the base ~$3,400 is just fine, and the color of the cerakoted versions is not pleasant to my eye.

Thanks for the replies. I thought there would be more people using the scope to offer feedback but I guess the cost makes them out of reach for most

There are people using more expensive scopes that the S & B PMII you are taking about - even here on Calguns

For example : ask JMP what scopes he uses and than re-read your reply . . . lol

There is a CalGun regular who guys by WhiteMamba who has the same gun and several of the Schmidt & Bender scopes. Hopefully he will see this post and chime in but at our matches he seems pretty happy with them.
I like a black scope and after seeing one in that burnt orange colour I still prefer black. I think it costs $400 extra for that color

I have the PMII 5-25 mil/mil with the H37 reticle. Only shot out to 1500 meters on a Surgeon .338LM build. Very clear optic. I like the reticle and have no downsides other than the very limited new warranty.
