Caldwell makes decent stuff, I have one of their chrono's and it works better then $400 units,

the only thing that concerns me is there is no information on replacing the wind meter, and calibration standards, I have a Kestral and would never look back.

      This is what you want:

      Kestrel 4500NV with Applied Ballistics

Yes, it is going to be among the most expensive of these devices, which currently lists at $589. It is worth every penny. The reason that I would go ahead and get it if you are contemplating even an entry level weather meter is that for the money, this is the single best value investment in support gear that you will need. Eventually, if you really want to do a lot of long range (definitely in extended long range), you will inevitably need other support gear such as a rangefinder, spotting scope, tripod, etc. etc., and that stuff gets much much more expensive.

This is a top notch and effective tool that you get for under $600 and you'll keep using it. It's one of the best ways to spend your money.
