Are there any rules for the dimensions of wind flags and the weight of the material used?I would think that to be able to judge wind from one range to another with consistency aside from looking at mirage, some guideline must be used, especially for competition.

Weight of wind flags

NRA rule book says 48"x18" at the tip and 12' long. Two colors, red and yellow. Nothing about weight or type of material. -
We had this conversation at Sac Valley this morning. One of the Canadian competitors asked about our flags. We use almost exclusively nylon flags here. The rest of the world uses heavy cotton. Ours are much more sensitive to wind changes.Comment

The Canadians or Brit are not getting beat up any more than anyone else. It's just a matter of re-calibrating your brain to match what you see on the flags to where the bullet is hitting. Easy money...
