Ok so lets say 38rf. Would it be possible on a revolver to modify or make a hammer to hit center fire. Then drill out the shell casing to accept a 209 shotgun primer. Of course using black powder.. what are the pros n cons... if you know me i shoot holly black.. love it and always love old guns. Was looking getting a 38rf but ammo looks pretty scarce.. if i had two hammers i suppose i could switch if 38rf was available

It's not only the hammer you might need to worry about though.
Would the firing pin window in the frame even allow for a centered firing pin hit?Randall Rausch
