    rimfire to cf

Ok so lets say 38rf. Would it be possible on a revolver to modify or make a hammer to hit center fire. Then drill out the shell casing to accept a 209 shotgun primer. Of course using black powder.. what are the pros n cons... if you know me i shoot holly black.. love it and always love old guns. Was looking getting a 38rf but ammo looks pretty scarce.. if i had two hammers i suppose i could switch if 38rf was available

What the heck is that using a 209 primer off center. Intresting you would have to load the shells with the primer out so the hammer could hit the primer.

Given unlimited effort, anything is possible.
It's not only the hammer you might need to worry about though.
Would the firing pin window in the frame even allow for a centered firing pin hit?
