    Tokarev 9mm Conversion

Is this all I need to make a Romanian Tokarev shoot 9mm?

I was thinking about buying this to make my Tokarev a bit cheaper to feed in the long run, but I have a feeling I will need more than just a barrel and bushing. Any advice is welcome.

I haven't tried it yet, but a lot of folks seem to be able to get 9mm to feed properly from a 7.62 Tok magazine. There is a dedicated 9mm mag for the Tokarev that has a spacer at the rear to take up the excess space. I don't know the current availability or price for the mags..

Anyway, please tell us how this project goes. I've considered a 9mm barrel for my M57 Tok, but don't want to screw with having separate mags.

A lot of us have done it. The 7.62 mags work sometimes and sometimes they don't feed well. The proper mags with the spacer are difficult to find. There are narrow mags that require a spacer in the back of the mag well -- you use a pin under the grips to hold the spacer in place and that makes changing calibers more difficult.

If you post a want to buy on forums where there's a few Tokarev guys hanging out (like here) you can probably beat that price.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

Barrel looks too pricey, I think I got one years ago for like $50

I know but this is the only one I could find and eventually it would be worth it due to the price of 7.62x25 going up

I have thought about this but frankly, the 9mm round is boring to shoot in comparison to the 7.62x25 round. Reload!

Yes; thats all. Maybe a 9mm mag but not required.

The barrel in the pic has a pin; that is good. You don't have to move it from the one you have.

I think the last one on ebay hit $200 something.

should sell yours if your not using it. Worth some coin.
