For carbon steel parts, cold blue can work really well but I believe most "blued" Kimber pistols are actually blackened stainless steel which will not take on cold blue. With that said, the slide might be carbon steel as have touched up a big "oopsie" on my Kimber slide with Brownell's Oxpho-Blue and it came out well.

Blued or stainless?? Stainless is the only material i recommend trying to touch up as it's just a simple job.

if it's blued I don't recommend trying as you will do more damage then good.

There is no good touchup for black oxide.
You could have the whole thing re-done in black oxide though.

Blue is black oxide and like Randall said there is no good touchup.

              Your options include

              1. refinish

              2. Cerokote

              3. leave it as is
