I have a Used A1 upper receiver that I bought years ago for a future XM177 build. Inside where the BCG goes, the finish is peeling off. Looks like a Teflon type coating. Should I scrape it off? What are my options.

If it's a legit colt receiver, that will be dry film lube.
Don't scrape it off.
You can buy a can of Sandstrom 28A and re-spray it if it bugs you that it's uneven.Last edited by ar15barrels; 12-24-2014, 5:05 PM.Randall Rausch
