    AR upper peeling teflon inside

I have a Used A1 upper receiver that I bought years ago for a future XM177 build. Inside where the BCG goes, the finish is peeling off. Looks like a Teflon type coating. Should I scrape it off? What are my options.

If it's a legit colt receiver, that will be dry film lube.
    Don't scrape it off.
You can buy a can of Sandstrom 28A and re-spray it if it bugs you that it's uneven.

It has a broken "A" on the rear of the carry handle.

That means the raw forging was made by Anchor Harvey Aluminum.
This tells us exactly nothing about who machined the forging.
