I'm wondering, do I need a saiga front sight block / post because I kinda want to thread the barrel 14x1 and use Magpul mbus sights. And how would a muzzle brake stay in place. thanks

The front sight on an AK typically has a detent in it that retains the muzzle device.
The muzzle device has a notch at the top.
You thread the muzzle device on the barrel while depressing the detent until the muzzle device is threaded all the way on.
Then, you back off the muzzle device until the detent pops into the notch on the muzzle device.Randall Rausch
