Turn safety to fire, pull trigger, isn't hammer supposed to spring up and bang into the receiver??

Nice way to crack the receiver web, so who told you this was a proper test?

Uninstall and re install. Its common with RRA parts kits. Happened to me a few times. Please hold the hammer when you pull the trigger.

"Please hold the hammer when you pull the trigger."

Yeah yeah yeah. Man I thought I got it right when installing. I had numerous build websites in front of me and I had watched videos the night before. Looks like the hammer is not captured by the hammer spring because the square end of the hammer spring rests against the receiver and not trapped under the hammer. Doh, right? Thanks guys!!

The OLL Assembly guide (above) is good.

Like I said, you may just need to do it over. I have put together a lot of lowers, I can't tell you why sometimes the RRA fail but they do and you just try again. It happened just the other day to a friend of mine, he freaked out but I took it out, put it in and it was good.
