    Failure to eject question

    9mm Colt Commander.

Empty is out of the breach but laying on top of the magazine over the live rounds. Closing slide pins it there.

    Any suggestions?

First, does the Extractor hold onto a loaded round with the slide open. With the slide off the frame place a loaded round between the breach face and the Extractor, with a SLIGHT wave of your hand does the round stay in place. If not you might have a Extractor Problem as it lets the casing fall off the breech face before the Ejector has a chance to hit it and eject.
      2. Is the Ejector the one for a 38 -9 mm. or one for a 45 ACP.

Last night I bent the extractor a tad inwards and today I took it to the range and ran about 70 rounds through it.

It worked perfectly. No failure to extracts at all.

Now does anyone know how to adjust the ejection direction? Comes back and over and I'd really like to eject to the right.

Eject angle is a bit of an art and has a lot to do with ejector face angle in relationship to the extractor.
But this assumes that the correct main spring is used as well.
Since 9mm loads vary greatly in power.

You can read this along with checking out different spring weights to control angle of ejection. Some of this is trial and error fitting depending on the ammo that you are shooting..
