Ever see guys seem to load their shotgun w/o seeming to have a lot of effort to push the shells in?….
On my 4th Benelli M2, I've modded the shell latch or carrier latch in 4 ways to decrease the resistance of pushing the shells in and increase the speed..
First, i polished the latch at the ramped part, W/O modifying the geometry of the part that contacts the shells once in the mag tube…

Second, I then increased the depth of the "U" shaped cut outs per Brian Enos forum, from a distance of .360 apart, to .300…to allow more flexion there...

Third, I bent the lifter at the "U" shaped cut outs about .020 back, using a vice and mere palm pressure, then measuring the part, initial position and the newly bent position, repeated a few times.
Fourth, I cut out notches in the bend of the neck perpendicular to the long axis of the latch, to allow for easier flexion of the part…

Hope it makes you'll as fast as these guys…But in particular see how they are not straining to get the shell past the latch….
