    Double hook trigger install question

I am about to install a Tapco G2 double hook trigger in my Polish AK. I assume that I have to cut out another slot in the bottom of the receiver for the second hook to pass through. I just want to make sure of this before I get started. Thanks in advance.

I used a cutting or drill bit with a dremel to do mine. I tried to use a bit that was fit the original slot, and just duplicated it on the other side.

nicoroshi has a modification that he does to the actual trigger, without cutting the slot. I forget what it is exactly, but it gives a shorter reset.

I would guess that he cuts the bottom of the right hook and fit's it to the receiver it becomes an over travel stop.

Done correctly it would work very nice.

I always make sure to check the trigger kit before I rivet a triggerguard on to a receiver as it's SO much easier to mill the slot with the receiver upside down in the milling machine than to reach down inside the receiver from the top to cut the extra slot with a hand grinder.

Been there man many times not fun. I've over looked a trigger kit to many time to admit.

I modified the trigger not the receiver and it works perfectly fine.

Yes, that's it. I was too lazy to go into the safe to check the one he had helped me with before all of the new craziness started.
