I am considering putting together an AR10. Will, or do, AR15 lower parts work in an AR10 lower? I have a spare AR15 parts kit, and thought I would ask before I start ordering parts.

AR10 parts question

Most of the parts will work. But you will need a new take down pin, pivot pin, buffer and buffer spring AR10 specific. Though it will work, I'd also recommend a AR10 specific bolt catch. More contact surface and heavier build.Cry Havoc.... and let slip the Dogs of War.

Are you buying a receiver, finishing one from a 80% or just entertaining the idea?
I ask because half of the 80% resellers call the DPMS LR308 pattern a AR10. These two are different and use different LPKs.Last edited by xfer42; 10-30-2014, 12:06 PM.Comment
