So...where is the rest of the firearm? looks cool! -
The concept is cool but I wonder how you make even a 14.5" pinned and welded barrel not dwarf the rest of the rifle?Comment

It's called thge .338 Lapua AR (or more what I call it):
I was actually out at the range last weekend and someone there had a 338 lapua AR that was clearly semi auto and I couldnt tell the brand. First time I'd seen one in person. They're MASSIVE.Comment

Awhile back I bought two 3D printed half scale lowers, and gave one to a friend for a gift.
I doubt mine would hold up to firing, there's a plastic component to the material, and I think I could crush it with one hand if I tried real hard (it feels 'flexy').
Looks cool in the display case though
I doubt you could scale an AR down to .22 easily- you'd have to develop your own blowback components, and adapt it to an existing magazine which would still fit the magwell (it's tiny- probably need some sort of metal single stack mag).
I doubt a working 1/2 scale rifle would even violate SBR laws. The scale stock certainly wouldn't be a SHOULDER stock.. unless you're a gerbil. You'd need a pin punch to pull the trigger too.
