    Yugo RSB barrel removal help

Hey all.....I'm demilling a Yugo M70 kit and the portion of the barrel in the rear sight block is not budging. I've built a few but never had one this stubborn. I've tried a torch, different penetrating oils, no dice. any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!

Also, I can snap some pics if needed.

What are you currently doing to remove the pin that is not working?

    Punch? Press?

pin is already out. I cannot press the barrell stub out of the sight block. It just plain won't budge. Also where the barrel was torch cut it doesn't leave me much room to set it up in the press.

Where are you located? I've got the forbus jig for that. Made light work of it.

I ground down the barrel stub flat, chamfered the edges, then used a socket to get the height up to press it out with the ram.

You can make your own jig for that easily enough too. Get a piece of 4 x 4 x 1/4 inch steel and cut a U-shape into it that exactly fits the barrel width where you need to press.

I have had no trouble pressing barrel stubs out of rear sight bases.
I make my own press fixtures though and use a 25ton press.
It's rare that I use more than 5 tons according to my pressure gauge...

Put it in the freezer for a couple hours. Then straight into your press. If it doesn't go, apply a torch to the RSB while the assembly is under pressure.
