    Tapping bolt catch roll pin

Got a Quentin Defense 80% AR10 lower that does not have the bolt catch pin slot threaded or drilled through all the way. If I use a standard roll pin then there will be no way to remove it. What's the best way to tap he hole to accept the threaded roll pin? It was supposed to come from QD threaded but it must of missed quality control.

I would call them and if you have not machined it I am sure they will let you send it in to be tapped. They are good people and I am sure will take care of you.

Already started working on it. They do make quality products but unfortunately they never replied to an email I sent a month ago. I'm going to have to do it myself. There are other issues like the safety selector not being completely straight in fire position. Might of gotten a reject. Too late now though.

Safety selector position not being straight is due to the position of the detent hole in relation to the selector hole. if the detent is not centered your selector will not clock at the 12 position

And that can be fixed quite easily

Drill and ream out the selector detent hole press in a insert drill and ream in correct position.

I am a god fearing man and "try" to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Honestly I have not had any bad interactions with him so I can't say anything bad.

I would assume he would swap things out (prior to machining of course) on any problem like TM would, I just need a picture and I send a return label 90% of the time. You know what assume means though.
