What are the tricks of AK74 bolt ressembly
I am having problems with the extractor and retaining pin'
Cannot compress the extractor spring sufficiently to insert the retaining pin.
Tips and tricks?

It shouldn't be that hard to compress. The hard part is lining up everything for the pin, which goes in only one way.

don't know; I'm a klutz with small parts got mine back together. I was using a youtube vid as a guide though. Maybe I just unconsciously copied the holding positions the guy on screen was using and/or you should check a couple videos out....

AK74 bolt reassemble

I found a punch larger than the one in the cleaning kit and inserted it a a slave punch. It fit snugly in the pin port and held the extractor in a better position to drive in the pin.
Once I lined it up things went smooth.
