Are fire control pockets on AR-15 and 308 dimensionally equal? I have a no-name (but decent quality) 308 lower and want to finish it on my milling machine. I don't have any 308 blueprints though, so I'm wondering if I can use AR-15 blueprints instead.

Yes, they are the same. Trigger, selector, and hammer pin holes are the same also. -

Many of the dimensions are similar. The cutouts are very similar but where they are in the lower are not the same.

Different location for AR-10 and LR-308 styles too.
So if you try to mill it for an AR-10 and its a DMPS style, you will mess up.

As stated in post #3 I have PDF prints on my site for free download.
Please be advised as others have stated the hole pattern is the same it is the location in relation to the front take down pin that is different and it is enough to screw things up if you get them mixed up.Comment
