savage 99 magazine issues

[Not that bright yet]

I purchases a Savage 99 in .308 last year from gunbroker. It shoots fine by the magazine isn't working properly. I have read that fixing those things is a pain so I was wondering if there was a gunsmith in the SF Bay Area that could take care of it for me.

the 99 magazine can most often be fixed with gun scrubber then light oil.

If cleaning it well does not fix the problem then you will have to rewind the spring in it and to do that you have to disassemble the gun to access the magazine.

just try gun scrubber and flushing out the spring and housing around the flange really well i have fixed and seen even more fixed by good cleaning
