So my cousin purchased an 80% from riflegear and asked me where I had mine milled. Well I did mine at the house of a coworkers friend. The guy moved out of the area for work. So I don't know where to send my cousin to do his. I read that you can't go to a shop to do it cause they were raided or something. Anyone in the South Bay or Oc area that can point us in the right direction. Also buying a mill and press is out of the question because of price. Thank you.

ATF has opined that he will have to do it at his home with his own tools. But, I'm sure he research that prior to purchasing it. He wouldn't just go out and buy something blindly. He wouldn't plan on manufacturing his own firearm without doing proper research first, would he?NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor

If your cousin can't afford a drill press & jig, then he isn't going to be able to afford buying the rest of the required parts to finish the rifle - so his problem is solved.Comment

80% -> 100% is way more expensive. Palmetto has 100% Blems for $49 sometimes. Finding someone to accept the transfer is another story.Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Well thanks for the replys. I guess he's **** out of luck then. That's some crazy stuff that's gone on about the 80% in the last year. When I did mine you could go to a lot of places. I just found someone who let me use his for free. Oh well. Thanks again guys.Comment

Oh the parts also aren't the issue. He already has most of them. Just trying to go a different route than buying one he had to register. Maybe once I tell him he will be willing to buy the press.Comment
