AK105 project done

I finally finished building my AK105. I went through two receivers. The first receiver, the front trunnion sat crooked after I riveted it in. Had to demill the pretty much the whole thing (front/rear trunnion, trigger guard) to start all over. Second receiver, I had to add more material to the ejector which ended up great. Head spacing is perfect, everything alligned and smooth. It was alot of work, but well worth it. Can't wait till I test this thing out

After adding material to the ejector, did you do anything different to heat treat it? I had to add some to a AK47 ejector and I can't seem to get the tip to harden now like the others I've done in the past.

I'd say you have bigger problems in your life if you can't get your tip to harden

Thanks...I wish I could pop a blue pill or two in this thing to make it hard but that's too easy of a fix.

I heat treated the ejector same way as normal. I have a 7n6 can full of motor oil i use to quench. I was told on akfiles since i used a Mig welder, i didn't have to heat treat it. I haven't shot out of it yet so don't know how well it's going to hold.

For mig the need to leave heat on it longer .
