    CZ 75 SP-01help.

Okay I'm trying to take out the trigger pin but it won't give. I tried from both sides. It moves a little but I think the ends are flared a bit. My punches are bending. Any easy suggestions?

Never mind, got it out. Apparently it's a common problem and most replace it with a CCW pin.

      What was your solution?
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
      (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

Well a starter punch is what is needed, I don't have one. A 1/16" punch is what I was trying to use, but was not working. I sharpened the 1/16" punch ever so slightly and that worked. Getting the Cajungunworks pin instead save myself the headache down the road.

Yup you got the right idea. A starter punch is needed to take out the stubborn trigger pins on CZ's. If you need more technical info czfirearms.us is great a CZ resource.

Another approach I tried with great success was to get a sacrificial Allen wrench sized appropriately and chopped the tail end so it's a straight peice not L shaped. I used my bench vice to push the pin out slowly. It's a much more controlled motion and eliminates missing the pin and dingging the pistol using a punch pin and a brass hammer.

Yeah I'm going to try this with my hammer pins, heard those are the same, very difficult to remove.
