Expert help needed to fabricate a bullet guide for a Saiga 7.62. Can someone help by providing specs to making a guide in a home metal shop.?

Flat bottom or round bottom?

Any reason not to just buy one?

Got to open the trunnion and see if its flat or curved. Is there a diference in length and width?

They seem to be about the same length.
Either style stops at that step-up in diameter under where the barrel that hangs into the trunion.
The width is 12mm.
Military trunions have the flat cut and the rivet hole drilled already.
I have been converting commercial (no flat) trunions to take military bullet guides by making the flat cut.

Curved like a smile on the trunion
