I bought a BCG at a good price and the staking on it isn't as aggressive as I thought it would be. Do I need to buy a gadget to make the gas key more secure or can I use something I have in my garage like a punch and Vise? Anyone in the SF Bay Area that could help me out would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you really must, a punch and a vice is all you need. I myself wouldn't even worry about it. Just make sure they are tightened correctly. For staking, all you want is a little bit of material peened over the bolt head so it can't back out if it ever does come loose.____________________________________
