    castle nut need help

    Does any body have a good idea to pop off the buffer tube castle nut with out damaging my gun i have brand new castle nut in case im puting on noveski end plate.

        take to local guard armory and ask if supply sgt/unit armorer can loosen it for you?

                Take a punch and tap it counterclockwise lightly. This will work to tighten the new one too. If you aren't confident in your ability - buy the wrench.

                  You can get a plain castle nut wrench for like $5. Just buy one or the armorers tool.

                      since you obviously didn't build the rifle, I am going to assume that you are doing this on a factory built rifle - make sure that the one you are trying to remove isn't staked as some manufactures a prone to do that... and yes buy the wrench.
