Hoping to gain some insight here. Just picked up a new frontier side charging receiver (see below for reference only)
which works great (besides the top rail lugs not lining up with my VLTOR CASV rail/forearm system).
But while I was at Parallax Tactical picking it up, a gentlemen was explaining how he used parts from a quick release rail riser to replace the fixed handle with a folding one that was spring-assist to close, in standard folding handle style. Said he used the handle from the quick release, as well as shortening the detent spring contained in the existing handle.
It made sense to me at the time, but now that its in front of me, I cant figure it out.
Can anyone see how to execute such a mod?
