I have an ER20 collet set that has 30 collets ranging in size from 3/64" to 1/2" by 1/64"

I find it covers most metric sizes as well.

5/16" is close enough for most stuff

thanks for the input. the 1 and Q dont work so well on my laptop due to a spilled rum and pinapple cocktail. I ment to type 18 mm.
my collet set came via craigslist and is not so complete. but i got a grizly mill with vice, adjustable vice, rotary table, angle blocks, clamp set about $2k in end mills, 3 albrecht chucks, for $1,000. so i can't complain

I did need to order an 18mm holder for my 18mm ball end mill.
But I did get the 18mm solid carbide ball end mill off of ebay for $20.00 shipped.

Except an 18mm r8 collet. But nice folks. I will be paying them a visit
when I have time to check the place out.

my collet is arriving today from MSC. but someone may have already
stuck that end mill into a drill chuck and finished the barrel seat.

You could learn how to grind a single lip cutter.

Something as non critical as the barrel seat coul be cut with a single lip tool ground in on a snag grinder using radius gauges as a guide.

Not referring to you but I do see a lot of guys that are trying to cheap out and don't want to spend money on expensive tooling well with an investment in skills you can come up with a decent tool that will do a good job you just have to invest in the education to be able to hand grind a form tool.
