A few years ago a thread was started on building a Cetme or HK in different calibers. Rather than reviving the old thread here: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=500064 I'll just post some pics for those interested.
Here is a video of the rifle running:
Rather than spend time chamber fluting a barrel I opted to switch the rifle over to gas operation. I used a remington 700 take-off barrel and replicated the gas system from an SVT40. The fixed piston is screwed into a Cetme front sight that contains an adjustable gas block. The carrier and recoil system got some major modifications too. There is a current build thread here:
