    Best mini Cnc machine

I am looking into buying a mini Cnc machine just to do only a few operations to complete my own lowers and work on my own frames. What is the best way to go? I don't mind spending the money but don't need a 20k machine.

Yes some people will say it's not worth it but to me it is and I have the funds to spend.

I'm happy with my Tormach but the first one was a nightmare. The replacement has been nearly flawless.
The 770 will set you back about $10,000.00, and then you'll need tooling.

I tried buying other machines but no one had them in stock and deals just kept falling through.

I have been looking at the tormach as well. Do you have the automatic tool changer on it? What add ons did you put on yours?

What were the problems you were running into?

No tool changer. I'm using mine mostly for engraving, not a lot of tool changes. For 80% lowers and frames it's just easier to use my manual mill.
        No big production there.
Extras? Not a lot on the second mill, just a stand, and tool arms. I even put together my own computer and screen.

My first Tormach would just crash and lose steps (over and over). No one ever figured out the problem, or they wouldn't admit there ever was a problem.
The second mill has had a couple of loose wires but I have run literally thousands of programs with maybe 3 problems.

On my first one I got EVERYTHING, but in the end they took it all back.

The second go round I was licking my wounds and much poorer from the time and expense of the first go round. So I got the bare minimum with the second.

They are clear to say they offer no price breaks on package deals so I would pass unless you knew you were going to use it.
