    M4 feed ramps Why?

    Hi guys,
I've been looking at another build and notice that there no options when it comes to these infernal m4 ramps.
I'd like a 16" mid length, lightweight profile WITHOUT M4 ramps.
Anybody know where I might buy one?
I might even buy an upper if I could find the right one.
Also, where is a good discussion of why semi auto barrels need these anyway?
I have too much trouble with them.
    Thanks, W

They work better on full auto.

What "trouble" are you having with feed-ramps?

Interesting info, but I have seen very few without M4 feedramps, why not have them?

The real question is are the ones listed as "M4" without feed ramps REALLY an M4 or just a AR made to look like a M4 (rhetorical question)?

The reason being is in order to have the feed ramp it adds extra costs to the manufacturing side. Some manufacturers (unfortunately) feel it is better to stretch the truth than actually spend money on extra tooling to be make something exactly in spec (or have no knowledge that a M4 is different).

As far as need in having a correctly made feed ramp it ALWAYS increases the feeding reliability no matter semi or full auto (especially if using pointed or hollow point rounds), can not think of a single firearm with a correctly made feed ramp that does worst.

My Stag 3H upper has M4 feedramps. Came directly from Stag that way.
