    KTO Sig JIG CIRCULATION LIST

Sign up by posting below to use the Sig Jig.

Only available to people who were in goober's KTO Sig group buy.
I will PM the person next on the list for address info as jigs become available.
The job should only take a couple of hours so we should be able to circulate the jigs pretty quickly amongst everyone.

When done with the jig, PM me for the address of the next person on the list and send it off to them.

Any broken or dull or missing tooling let me know so we can get replacements.

Donations to help cover my costs can be made to the same name and address as the KTO Group Fix, or

This paypal link works well also:

So far on the list from people who have expressed interest, I have:

Can I buy the jig outright? I have some older KTO frames with finger grooves (which I actually like and want to keep), so I'll need to modify the jig to accommodate them. So I'd rather buy it.

I will have a hectic travel & field work schedule for the next ~2 months but will do my best to get my frames done ASAP after receiving the jig package & get it sent on to the next user.
If possible I'd like to just buy a jig so that folks wont be waiting on me to finish using it. I'd still be happy to donate it after I'm done with it. Just don't want to be the bottleneck.

Older KTO Sigs had the finger grooves? I thought that was just the 1911s.

Do you want to move this thread from sales to the gunsmithing forum? I think it fits better there.

Mods, this isn't a sale thread.
              Thanks!

ETA: guys who want to buy a jig. Have you seen that thing? With the tooling? He'd have to charge $500 to make it worthwhile. Does anyone want to buy my KTO angle plate ?? LOL

Wow, you guys are great, I never expected anyone to donate before they even used the jig, thanks!

Just go ahead and cut the jig to accommodate the finger grooves, it won't affect the function of the jig at all.

My KTO angle plate is milled on the other side for Sig 22X series frames.
Is that and some gauge pins and screws all that are needed to hold a sig frame?

Yes, however the pocket in the jig isn't milled to the correct depth so the frame rocks in the jig, and the pin placement to hold the frame horizontal is also not in the correct position to do so. That said, with some spacing and fiddling one can make it work. There are some earlier posts on the KTO Sig group buy forum by bigcalidave that discusses the KTO made jig.

Pocket is wrong, holes are not perfectly square to the jig so you can't use it. To cut my rails I had to use one pin, an .020 shim on the other side, and a clamp to hold it in place horizontal after indicating it out.

First of all, thank you Rational1! Since hockey season is done, I now have time to work on this. Please add me to the list. Donation sent. I prefer to go last after everyone is done so I don't make people wait on me. I want to take my time and from what I'm reading, the DLASK kit requires a little more work on the frame. I have the DLASK kit. And to top it off, I STILL have to get a drill press. I have access to one but I'd rather have my own.
