Help replacing barrel on DPMS 308

I feel kinda dumb for asking this, but...

I recently moved and somehow misplaced my LR-308 upper receiver action block and barrel nut wrench. They are sitting in a box together, somewhere, but I can't find them. Is there anyone in the SF bay area who has these tools and would let me borrow them? I'd happily reimburse you with the adult beverage of your choice. Heck, if you have a bench vise and a torque wrench I can swap the barrels in 5 minutes without taking the tools.

    Thanks,

    Shakey

    That happens during a move!
California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.

I don't have an action block. I used two small flat woods, placed between rail and bottom of upper on my small vise when I removed by barrel. I have an AR15 wrench, which they said works on 308 as well. PM me if you don't mind doing a Macgyver to remove your barrel. I also have a torque wrench. I'm in Daly City.

I am in the south bay area, and have the tools. I don't loan tools nor work for beer, but cold, hard cash is just fine.

I haven't tried it myself yet, but read that you can cut a cutting board in half and use that in place of wooden blocks. I'm going to try that route for my next build.

Kendog4570 - I already paid you good money to turn down my barrel and I'm not paying you any more. :-) Just kidding, thanks again for the excellent work. I'll put up a review as soon as I get a chance to test out the new barrel.

Scott - thank you very much. I'll come by your shop tomorrow.

You and I can talk about a bolt gun once I make some room in the safe. That should at least buy your kid a few books.

Just wanted to publicly thank Scott for helping me out this morning. Nice shop and a great staff. Plus, they had *3* different varieties of 45acp hollpoints for sale, first time I have seen that in a while.

California is the only state with an Ammo shortage. I was in Ohio a few weeks back and shelver were stocked full. .223, .308, 9mm, 40, 45 little on the pricey side but full shelves.

I was in Opelika, Alabama last week. Walmart had a fair amount of rifle centerfire hunting stuff, some 223 and 308 match stuff, and plenty shotgun shells, but no .22 and a sign stating a 3 box limit per customer per day.

Yeah .22LR is hard to find nearly anywhere but Gander Mnt had a good supply on the shelf as well did the wal mart and the LGS.

Maybe it's the Prepper states. I don't know how these trends get started but if we could figure it out and start a "Vote your dip dunk politician out of office" Reality TV show trend holly crap we'd be in like flin.
