    Pps43 semi bolt conversion

I am thinking of doing a pps43c carbine build but I do not have the machinery possible to make the bolt into a semi auto bolt... If any one here can help I will pay to have my bolt modified..

I though it just takes some shaving off material like a 20 degrees worth shaved off. Might wanna look it up because if thats all it takes (from what ive read) then a simple file will do. I think I read it on a semi build tutorial on weaponears (I think thats how its spelt forget lol).

You need to drill a hole through the bolt for a new firing pin.

So just a drill press is needed? And do I use an ar firing pin?

          hehehe, "JUST" a drill press...

Wait until you find out how hard the steel is.
Most of those open-bolt submachine gun bolts are hard as hell.
You would likely want to anneal them, drill them and then re-harden.
You could also try carbide drill bits.

The bolts are not that hard. The first half is easy. You remove the fixed firing pin and drill the rest of the hole. the second half is hard becuase there is a hole in the side of the bolt for the return spring and you dont have a flat surfac to start the hole. unless you start from the other end you need to make sure the hole is perfectly straight. it is best to do it on a lathe.
