Polymer lower gun greese on buffer threads?

My little brother is trying to assemble a polymer lower. Everything is good so far. He's just gotta thread the buffer tube and he's done. Every guide mentions using gun grease on the threads but we're wondering if there is a unique product that should be used for polymer instead of typical gun grease.
    Maybe just gun oil instead?

    Thanks

I've always done my buffer tubes dry or even loctited them. It's the upper receiver threads that I use wheel bearing grease.
If you need help with any stragglers, call a friend, because it's likely that they have a gun. America in particular have done exceptionally well taking care of the problem, as there are 1.12 guns for every 1 American citizen. So throw a rock, you'll probably hit a gun, pick up that gun, then shoot a zombie.

The grease is there to prevent galling, any good gun grease will do. and I'd still do it even on a polymer lower,

Agree with KC. Do not use oil but a form of grease.
