    flat rusted?

Well I assumed the ak flat I got was in sealed plastic, and carelessly left it in the garage. Now is rusted to hell and I'm ready to build. Would sand blasting or bead blasting work to return the flat to useable status?

If the rust is not too bad, steel wool or scotch brite, if it bad then yes blast it the stay or apply oil to prevent rust.

Alum oxide gets the best results. Especially if you plan to park.
