cracked stock

Does anyone know of a good gunsmith in the San Diego area they would recommend to check and hopefully bond and fix this Mauser sporter take home rifle? My father brought this rifle back from WWII

i Don't know anyone in the area but seeing that damage makes me sad.
Please tell me you at least have that missing piece of wood.


as for that stock i would say its shooting days are over thats some pretty heavy damage on old oil soaked wood

But nothing you couldn't fix with some painters tape epoxy and surgical tubing yourself if you wanted to give it a go

Or buy a new Mauser stock and use that one for a wall hanger

I can possibly do it but it won't be cheep. Refinishing work, stock pins, resin. it all adds up.
