Glock and question about Vickers Extended Slide Stop

I prefer these on my Glocks over the OEM but I have a question about them I'm hoping someone knows. When installed I'm getting inconsistency when releasing the slide using the slingshot method over the Vickers Extend Slide Stop to release the slide. With the former it only occasionally works but naturally the latter works 100% of the time.

Anyone had this experience? I can't tell if the Vickers Extended Slide Stop removes that ability and I like both options.

You should be able to slingshot the slide as Glock designed with either the OEM or the Vickers slide stop. The Vickers metal wire is at a different angle and length than factory and sometimes requires tweaking. Make sure the wire is firmly seating in the groove of the retaining pin. If its not, there is not enough tension on the wire.

Thanks and I'll need to check that!
