    Gunsmith for m&p shield work

Any gunsmiths in the inland empire that can do a trigger upgrade on my Shield? I usually do things like this myself, but I am using this gun for CCW and rather a smith do the work for legal reasons. The trigger is a bit heavy for my liking, obviously I dont want a 2 lbs trigger pull, but maybe 5-6lbs. I have only seen Apex trigger kits, and this is what I want the smith to install for me. Any info? Thanks

Don't be so damn scared to do it yourself. If the condition of your weapon comes into question it will be gone through and that's whether or not you did the work yourself.

The apex kits are simple, and they make nice videos of how to install. It's just swapping a few parts, you would have them out in a detail strip anyways.

Okay so I ordered the Apex tactical Shield duty/ carry action enhancement trigger and kit. Let me tell you, for those that don't know, they make an awesome product! When I got the shield, while dry firing, was very difficult for me to pull straight and smooth. I could not maintain a good non interrupted sight picture. I have small hands, no jokes please, so I thought a small gun like the shield would be comfortable, but wasn't. I actually started straining muscles/ tendons in my finger and wrist practicing with it. This has never happened to me before.

So, after install it is perfect!. Trigger pull is lighter and I think the geometry/ design of the new trigger is way better. I think the pivot location of the stock trigger was too low for me and needed to be higher. Anyway just thought I would share my experience.

Good job! Also, I should really get that kit for my shield. I hate the stock trigger.
Crazy gritty and feels like crunching a beer can instead of 'breaking a glass rod'

I was gonna take it apart and clean things up but I keep hearing such good reviews about the apex set. Did you get the one with the replacement trigger?
