I don't know an ME that could fix a chiller or A/C unit if his life depended on it.
They would all just call an HVAC guy.
Besides, if the chiller or A/C goes down, it was probably a bad design by the ME that designed it...

That statement could be compared to blaming the gunsmith for a rifle's loss of accuracy, wear, breakage or malfunction after say 60,000 plus rnds.

You do now. I design, build and install all of the chillers and mechanical systems my company installs. Hello from someone that is not a "desk jockey". Anything built by man will wear out, break, malfunction or sustain a leak in the refrigerant circuit at some point...this is simply a question of time and wear.
