    Anodizing questions - 80% lower

I am planning a few AR 80% builds, and I have a few questions regarding anodizing. Can I ship directly to/receive from, the person doing the work. If not, who do I need to speak to, to get these ano'd? Lastly, who offers this service in the Sac/Stockton area? I guess if I'm shipping, it doesn't really matter how close they are, but if it's close enough, I prefer to meet the person, and see some of their work. Who do you recommend?

Thanks in advance for the help,
    Eli

Yeah, um..... I don't think I'm willing to sit there and wait through the process. I'll just go with the FFL metal finisher.

Now, "who's the man?", so to speak. I've taken many parts to Reid Metals before, but never a receiver... and I don't think they're licensed anyway.

I don't know anyone local, but if you are willing to ship you should consider US Anodizing. I've been very happy with work they've done for me. Standard colors or color matching if that's needed. E-mail Victor for info (usually too busy to answer phone) and price quotes if it's not on their price list. (Receivers in the white are priced less that already anodized ones)
ETA: They have an FFL so okay to ship receivers to them.

Call them in advance regarding homebuilt receivers. They may require that you stamp a manufacturer and serial number on the receiver, so they can log it in their books.

Also, try Derek at AZ Expert Arms. He is a good person to deal with.
