number and letter punches or stamps

Does anyone have a suggestion for a quality set of number and letter punches? Eventually I want to serialize an 80% build and want to stamp in the serial myself as opposed to having a shop engrave it.

Don't want them too big, maybe 3/16" or so

Thanks in advance for the help

Agreed, this is a better set if you intend to use them for more than a single build. If you are looking to do a single build, HF is enough.

All ive got to say is buy Young Brothers brand stamps.
you can get them on ebay used and they will be good to go, or spend the money and get new ones. they will last a lifetime mine are probably 50 years old. or if you are in the knotts berry farm area you can come by and use my stamps

Use a guide when you stamp. A piece of angle clamped in place to keep things straight. Make sure to double check the punches are oriented right. One hit and you can't correct it. I have several set's from 1/16" to 1/2" for occasional use, any will do, use a lot or on steel and good ones are worth the money. Young Brothers aren't bad and common at tool supplies like Enco.

                Young Bros

These stamp sets are very good. For about $40-$60 or so, you can get a very nice 2.5mm set.

Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

I'm curious to know if this will be deep enough to pass the required depth for selling? I plan on doing a 80% my self but I don't plan on selling.

If you're stamping on the magwell, put a block in it for support.
