And a lot of times that information you get is worth exactly what you paid for it.

Simple answer:
Amazon, iTunes, Barnes&Noble, and Kobo charge for publishing, and hosting (and take their cut of any profits made per book as well) as well as website domain names cost money.
I don't think $9.99 for everything you need (links to information on laws, headspace, home built tools, modifications, websites to buy parts, kits, accessories, and tools, over 200 detailed close up pictures showing exactly what to look for for each process, detailed instructions along the way covering differences in different variants and receiver choices so no mattter what kit or type of receiver you choose it will be covered in this ebook not to mention basically step by step instruction in the methods that I personally have refined over the last 400 or so I have helped construct) all in one place downloadable to ipad, iphone, PC, Andriod phone, Nook, Kindle, etc that you can take with you into the shop as you build is asking too much for the literally months I have spent to put this together.

I didn't have to put this out there you know. I could make you wallow through all the information (even the bad information) on the web to try to find everything yourself or I could have decided to charge $50-$100 for this book (like some other gunsmiths that have published are doing).

Bottom line:
It's out there. It's affordable. It's as complete as I could humanly make it for all variants, and receiver choices.

Decide for yourself if it's something you'd like or not.
You don't have to press 'Buy' you know.
And personally it doesn't matter to me if no one gets this or not.
I make a good living at my current trade.
I didn't do this to make money. If I had I would be charging a lot more, and have a full marketing department working on selling it.

Just trying to get the information that I have out there for those that might like it.

He is one of the most knowledgeable and if not the best AK builder out there. $9.99 is a pittance for some of the knowledge he has. If I was going to build another AK I would pay it.

Just saw your thread and immediately downloaded the book. In fact this was my first Kindle download. In 5 minutes you’ve already saved me $ and frustration.

I was going to buy the complete Toth tool set ($335 + shipping) to build an M70. The first thing I did was search for Toth and came to location 717 of 2025 and saw: “For a Bulged front trunnion of a Yugo or RPK: The Toth Tool bolt cutter rivet jig will not open wide enough to crush the longer 4mm rivet that penetrates the bulge in the trunnion.” Yikes… Thank You. I’ve got a lot more reading to do (forgive me for giving away that note BTW).

My point to all those thinking about building at home on your own in today’s environment is that this book is a must. I consider myself very well read, and I missed this one in all my "free on-line research". I’ve only read one page and it's already helped me. Thanks Nico.

Little note for you on the toth tool blades for Yugo bulged front trunnion rivets.
They can be notched to reach in deep enough to work but will not work they way they are bought from toth tool for that specific rivet.
The original design of the bolt cutter rivet tool is from Pookie (see Pookieweb).
I do know that guys like AKBlue have notched home made versions of Pookie's design to work with that rivet.

Here's a picture to give you an idea of how AKBlue notched his to work with that rivet>>>



Notice the flat plate just behind the jaws. That's where it needs to be lengthened so the jaws can grab further in.

So don't write off that tool design just yet. It is great for the short front trunnion rivets, and can even be used on some of the short rear trunnion rivets as well (even more if notched).
