AR barrel nut gas tube alignment

Using the standard mil spec barrel nut I get close to alignment, but need another spoke turn for complete alignment--about one more notch will do it
I do not want to over tighten the nut, staying within max 70 ft-lbs.
Should I use a shim? Emery the nut face?
Or just go ahead and tighten staying within the 70 ft lb max.

        AR gas nut timing

Anderson Machining in KY said that they initially torque to 30 ft lbs then remove the torque wrench and wrench to correct alignment.

I would add to that never exceed 80 ft/lbs.

so torque to 30 then crank up the wrench to 80 and tighten till it aligns. if your wrench indicates more then 80 lbs you need to fix something.
