    Removing thread locker

    Looking for a gunsmith to remove locktite from some shotgun receivers in the I.E. Area

    Last quote i got was $100WTFBBQ! What would cause it to be so expensive?

      Yes I have. Also its not Locktite, it is actually Loxeal 86-54 (Benelli Shotguns).

          No picture, I would rather send it to a gunsmith; heck I would even ship it. That is just how ill equipped i am.

            I'm pretty sure if you find out what thread size it is, you could spend a few bucks get the tap and die and be done in a few minutes. Unless it's some backward a s s thread, then well thanks benelli.

              Oh I know the EXACT (I made a part for it) thread size, its M21 X 1 - 6g.

              I see what you are saying, I don't need to run a tap through the threads again/chase the threads. I need to remove the buffer tube from the receiver and remove a stripped screw that wouldn't budge when I was using heat. Yes I am an Idiot

                    Since when is any screw on a gun other then the ones that hold the furniture on a common screw size?? 1/4-22,24,25,28,32, 8-40, 6-48, 2-56. then you have all the special pitch metric stuff.

                    Yeah 80% chance it's a $15 tap that only Brownell's has
