1889 Marlin 30-30

I have a 1889 Marlin 30-30 take down that was made in 1901. I am wanting to refinish the metal and custom make replacement furniture for it. Does anyone know of any good (sexy) looking finishes that are out there. I want wanting to do this on a budget. Preferable not a cold blued or even a hot blued. I am wanting something different.

Thanks guys. If it helps I am in Chico and would prefer to help out a local shop that might do cool finishes. Help me out if anyone knows anyone in the area.

what do you mean by cool finish?? I would personally send it off and have it hot salts blued or slow rust blue it yourself. But I for sure would not Cerokote it or anything of the like.

This. I like the worn look on older rifles.
If you got's to do it, KC has some good advise.
