    AK Build Question

    Greetings!

I have a whole bunch of ak parts that I have decided to build as a Frankenstein build. The bolt and bolt carrier do not match. My question is; while the bolt is in the carrier it seems a bit loose in there(a lil bit more play that I am use to). I am wondering if this is okay? It headspaces fine.

    Regards,

I would have to see it but if the bolt, and carrier are from the same type of AK (talking AK74 or AK47 here) I believe it should work.
Don't mix Galil parts with AK parts though.
And avoid small stem bolts in a large stem carrier.
    Have fun.
Franken builds require some fitting of parts (a lot like a virgin kit) but make some cool shooters.

      Thanks Nicoroshi!

I think that is what I exactly have a small stem bolts in a large stem carrier. I would have text you but I thought it was a bit late in the evening.

There is a guy looking for a small stem 7.62x39 bolt in another thread.
Im SURE he would gladly buy a large stem bolt and trade you for it...
