AR BCG question

I hope this is the right forum to post this question.

I have been building my AR 15 for a little over a year now (budget constraints) and am now ready to for the final purchase, the BCG.

Admittedly, I am pretty ignorant of BCGs.

Is there a real difference between manufacturers? Do I want an auto BCG or a semi? If I get an auto BCG does that make my rifle a full auto?

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

The Bolt is the #2 cause of problems with the AR platform...

You have two choices- buy a $100 bolt and see if it works and if it lasts for 5,000+ Rounds.... The odds are it will...

Or buy a tier 1 product...

For CA, any of the bolts will work.. M16 or AR15.

The M16 adds a bit more mass... not a big deal..

No, a FA (M16) BCG will not make your AR FA. The rear section is what is different. I'm sure google images could show you the difference. The M16 BCG has more material in the rear portion. I've heard it provides more support during movement. AIM surplus had a deal on their BCGs $80 and free shipping. They also had a Nitride coated one for $100.
