    Completed 80% that needs engraving

I have a completed 80% lower (now 100% functional) that I completed in 2011 at a Ares Armor build party. I was overseas at the time, was home on leave, and wanted to have it completed to make a pistol, but did not have time to have it engraved before I had to go out again. Now that I am back in California (unfortunately) I want to have it engraved with the following info:

Is there anyone that can have the engraving done on the lower? I also want to have it re-anodized and would want someone in O.C. Or San Diego that does Type III anodizing just like U.S. anodizing does.
    Thanks

For what? All he needs is either an engraver who can do it while he waits or a shop with an 01 or 07 FFL. The FFL sure as hell doesn't need a SOT unless, the happy hole is drilled.

yup..if the engraver can do it while you wait on site..no FFL is needed. if it needs to be kept there, it needs to be logged into the FFL's (01 or 07 as stated) books

VaderTactical.com is quite good. He did the custom lower for the raffle or WoundedWear.org. is turnaround time is usually only a few days.

Go to Engraving Pros in La Mesa, they did some work for me, you will have to be present so that no actual transfer takes place for something without a serial number

I see people here talking about engraving here and I'm curious to the type of engraving people are looking for. Is it basic functional engraving for selector and serial number?

Or is it for that and/or an image?

I ask because I did some engraving on my LR308 lower, and the time involved would, I think, may make it some what cost prohibitive if you wanted an image.

This is a pic of what I did, but as far as time involved, it was a number of hours for me to do it. I can't imagine someone wanting to turn a profit and keeping the cost reasonable.

                              Milled.

Which certainly comes in to play, but even laser machines cost money to buy and operate.
