I have an 80% receiver that was anodized prior to completion (it came anodized). I now want to engrave it but when I am finished I do not want the engravings to be bright or blatant but all the samecolor as the
anodization and I would like the new holes (trigger, selector etc). to be hardened.
My question is if I were to remove the anodizating via the use of Ez-off or any other lye based solutions, prior to engraving, would any metal be removed from the holes so that after reassembled, the pins on the selector / trigger etc would fit loosely? Ideally when reanodized the holes would be hardened. In other words is any metal removed during the anodizing removal process/
thanks
